Cells constantly maintain input-output relationships with their surroundings, which are essential for retaining normal biological functions. My research goals are to generate holistic understanding of cell biology that integrates soluble and non-soluble signals. To elucidate design principles of mechanobiological regulation, I choose to study biological systems that clearly exhibit a significant phenotypic response to distinctive mechanical changes: 1. Regeneration capacity of OPC in the ageing brain. (2) The bone marrow niche and hematopoietic disorders. (3) Nuclear lamina interactions.
