Gilad Haran‘s laboratory focuses on the spectroscopy and dynamics of single molecules and particles. We are developing new spectroscopic methodology and are applying it in two major fields of research. First, we have made contributions to protein folding and dynamics. In particular, in a series of studies on a large protein machines, we revealed how fast microsecond motions contribute to biochemical activity. Second, we have been studying plasmonic particles and devices and demonstrated their ability to strongly couple to individual quantum emitters.
