The quantum optics group of Prof. Avi Pe’er develops new avenues in quantum optics and laser physics. The group harnesses its unique expertise in ultra-broadband quantum light sources for high bit-rate quantum communication and for ultra-sensitive measurement beyond the limits of classical physics. Specifically, the group utilizes broadband time-energy entangled bi-photons, to develop unorthodox methods for precise measurement of distance and time, using broadband quantum squeezed light.
