As an archaeobotanist, I retrieve and study plant remains from archaeological excavations to generate provide new knowledge of past economies and environments, how they developed in time, and how climatic and cultural changes influenced these processes. My current research projects focus on the unprecedented agricultural transformations of the 1st millennium CE southern Levant, including Roman Agricultural Diffusion (RAD) and the Islamic Green Revolution (IGR).
