Research Interests
Sustainable design in arid zones; energy conservation in buildings; energy aspects of skyscrapers in hot climates; Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE); Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ); Life Cycle Energy Analysis (LCEA); low-tech retrofit/upgrade of the vernacular; microclimate of open spaces; proactive contingency planning. Heads multi-disciplinary teams working on the integration of green technologies on building and settlement scale, as well as a number of applied research initiatives.
