Research Interests
I’m studying the function of the auditory system in freely-moving rats and mice. Specific questions include the neural basis for sound preferences, predictive coding, and task representation in the auditory system. I use electrophysiological techniques (neuropixel recordings in freely-moving rats) as well as imaging techniques (fiber photometry, widefield calcium imaging, and two-photon imaging) in awake, freely-moving and head-fixed mice.
