Our multidisciplinary lab focuses on developing novel therapies and drug-delivery systems based on nanotechnology and functional biomaterials. By studying key processes in the tumor microenvironment and employing an integrative approach which combines bioengineering nanomedicine and theoretical models, we rationally design selective nano-therapies to provide a maximum drug efficacy with minimum off-target effects. Using microfluidic and other technologies we investigate how physical and mechanical parameters of nanoparticles affect interactions with cells and tissues with varying stiffness.
