Research Interests
My research is dedicated, among other things, to the representation of madness in early modern Spanish literature; medical writing and its dialogue with contemporary literary fiction; converso and morisco Golden Age literature; and the Semitic—both Arabic and Hebrew—heritage of the Iberian Peninsula and its place in early modern Hispanic thinking, memory, and imagination.
