My research interests lie primarily in the study of the parenting role. Unlike any other role we take on in the course of our lives, the parental role is a lifelong binding social role that is embedded in our identity from an early age and is considered to be a natural choice by most adults worldwide. However, although this role brings much meaning, happiness, and satisfaction to our lives, it also brings with it constant stress management and guilt that jeopardizes the well-being of the individual, i.e., the parent.
