I am a geoarchaeologist trained in both geology (B.Sc. and M.Sc.; The Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and anthropological archaeology (M.A. and Ph.D.; Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, USA). My research stems from questions related to human behavior, subsistence practices, human-environment interactions, and archaeological site formation processes. I address these using earth science principles and methods, including FTIR spectroscopy, micromorphology and petrography.
