Our lab studies bulky DNA damages that block cellular function (transcription and replication) and cause mutations. We specialise in genomic methods to map damage formation and DNA repair at single nucleotide resolution in human cells. Our projects combine advanced molecular biology and bioinformatics to analyze high throughput sequencing data. Current projects in the lab are aimed to understand the transcriptional consequences of damage formation, and the mutagenic processes leading to cancer formation.
