My research focuses on social differentiation, cultural interconnections, economic changes and challenges, and identifying methods of resilience to climate change. Although my own specialization is pottery, I target these questions using various new scientific methods through a network of collaborations. Thus, I strive to orchestrate the study of a complex archaeological arena from multiple angels including paleomagnetism, archaeozoology, and stable isotopes. It is my role as archaeologist to integrate these strands while keeping focus on the broader horizon of historical research questions.
