Research Interests
My core research is comprised of two complementary axes: (a) Hebrew, Aramaic, and linguistic variation in Ancient Palestine; (b) normativity and prescriptivism in Modern Hebrew (analysis of linguistic norms and their role in shaping social and national identities). In both, I rely on a thorough analysis of linguistic details to achieve a comprehensive characterization of specific texts or phenomena and explore wider perspectives, primarily socio-cultural implications.
