I study early modern English literature, focusing on religious poetry and alchemical imagery. My ISF project on “Spirituall Senses” in English sermons (1560-1660) builds on work from the “Sensing the Truth” research group at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies, examining how preachers conceived sermons as embodied utterances that physically affected listeners through sensorial language.
