Research Interests
My research focuses on cancer biophysics. We combine biophysical and molecular biology approaches to study the dynamics, organization and interactions of membrane receptors (focus on TGF-beta superfamily receptors) and signaling at the plasma membrane of living cells. We investigate the role of receptor complex formation in siganling, and in the regulation of cell proliferation and cancer. We also investigate the effects of enhanced or decreased cholesterol levels on the receptors’ interactions and signaling.
