Research Interests
In recent years my research has been focused on relationships between probability, geometry and algebraic properties of groups.
Examples of known results along these lines are modern proofs of Gromov’s theorem regarding polynomial growth groups, which utilize random walks and harmonic functions. A big motivation here is Grigorchuk’s “Gap Conjecture”.
The relationship between the Liouville property and transience/recurrence is also something I am investigating.
