Research Interests
We combine computational and molecular microbiology to identify novel gene functions with a focus on bacterial genes that mediate interactions between organisms.

Some questions that we address:
1. What are the molecular weapons bacteria used against hosts and microbes?
2. Can genes be horizontally transferred between host and microbe?
3. What genes allow bacteria to adapt to different environments?
4. What new useful functions remain hidden in bacterial genomes?

The lab is located in Rehovot, Israel.
