I specialize in optics and radiative power transmission. I work in the field of solar energy conversion and solar cells. I specialize in the fundamental aspects of the photovoltaic effect from a thermodynamics viewpoint. I use my optics expertise to study solar cells’ optoelectronic properties. I am also interested in the broader scope of solar energy and how to incorporate solar power plants with other human activities, such as AgriVoltaics or using solar panels in urban environments.
