Research Interests
We are interested in secreted bacterial toxins. We focus on developing methods to identify toxins, revealing their mechanism of action and target, and understanding their role in interbacterial competition or virulence. We are also investigating bacterial “weapon islands” containing both secreted antibacterial toxins and anti-phage defense systems.
