Research Interests
The Meshorer lab is studying epigenetic regulation in pluripotent stem cells, and is using embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) to model human neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Huntington’s disease). In parallel, we are studying Paleo-epigenetics, where we introduce epigenetic changes that differentiate modern from archaic humans into iPSCs, and differentiating those into brain organoids.
