Research Interests
The projects in my Lab are multidisciplinary in nature encompassing the areas of organic chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. We are interested in novel approaches to drug design and neutralization of nerve agents using computationally aided design and synthesis of biologically relevant modulators (inhibitors, antagonists, activators and agonists), molecular fluorescent probes, and catalysts. We are also involved in the chemical development of a family of fluorophores bearing the fluorescent bimane core.
