In my lab at Ben Gurion University, we use sodium imaging to examine axonal properties in cortical pyramidal neurons. We combine this technique with voltage imaging, K+ imaging, and with electrical recordings from the axons.

One of my works (Fleidervish et al., 1996) was selected by the Journal of Physiology as one of the fifteen most important contributions for understanding neuronal excitability and included in the special issue “Celebrating the work of Alan Hodgkin and Andrew Huxley”.
