Research Interests
I focus on unraveling growth and degradation processes that affect the functionality of the structures, and I correlate the structure with a specific activity. The strength of my approach manifests itself in the ability to close the iterative loop and suggest new structures with tunable properties and improved stability while relying on concrete principles beyond a trial-and-error approach.
I am mainly interested in designing heterogeneous catalysts for energy-related applications, such as producing alternative fuels. I work on layered materials (such as TMDs), phosphides, and nitrides.
