Research in my lab focuses on dissecting principles of post-transcriptional RNA regulation, including processes for regulating mRNA stability, modifications cellular localization and transport, translation and storage. We use early embryogenesis in zebrafish as a model system, providing important scientific and technical advantages, and leading to important discoveries on the molecular basis of animal development. We develop and implement high-throughput genomic assays and build novel computational tools to analyze and explain gene regulation from large-scale data.
