Explore the instability of thin flows of complex fluids under various frictions conditions and flow geometries, and the evolution of the resulted patterns. Use multiple methodologies, including theoretical modeling and experimental physics. These flows have similarity to geophysical phenomena such as ice sheets and glaciers. Therefore we use our experimentally tested theoretical predictions to investigate such systems.
