Research Interests
My research interests are the development of novel membranes for water treatment and desalination, applying surface modification techniques to enhance membrane performance. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) and metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are emerging materials for membrane separations. We prepare advanced membranes with improved antifouling and solute transport for ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis processes. Main applications are freshwater purification, seawater and brackish water desalination, industrial/domestic waste treatment.
