In my group we study both fundamental and applied aspects of geotechnical earthquake engineering. We conduct lab experiments in the Soil Mechanics and Dynamics Laboratory at BGU, use empirical earthquake data to develop advanced models which will allow us to improve practice in seismic hazard analysis, and conduct advanced numerical simulations to study fundamental aspects of wave propagation through geomaterials.
