My lab produces induced pluripotent stem cells to derive neurons and glial cells from patients with different brain disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and autism. We differentiate neurons or brain organoids and measure them functionally and molecularly to find differences in the patients cells. We perform drug screens to develop patient-specific treatment. Additionally we use machine learning to predict drug response in the patients.
