My main research interests are Deep learning and its application to the processing and analysis of natural, biological and medical images and videos. Specifically, my group develops convolutional, graph, and recurrent neural networks for imaging-based studies of fundamental problems in computational neuroscience, system biology and radiology. Recent research projects include: clinical risk assessment of COVID-19 patients from lung CT scans; probing cell dynamics and lineage analysis from high-throughput microscopy sequences and the study of aging and degeneration from brain MRIs.
