We are a plant science lab focusing on the quantitative genetics of crop-plants adaptions to changing environments. We use various genetic resources such as wild progenitors, traditional landraces, advanced cultivars, introgression lines, and various segregating populations. Our goal is to bridge the genotype-phenotypes gap and discover novel genes and traits that will facilitate the future breeding of climate-resilience crops. We develop novel pre-breeding material with adapted genetic backgrounds to improve yield production in the Mediterranean semi-arid climatic conditions.
